Limassol is Cyprus’ second largest city bustling with activity all year round. The city spreads out between the two ancient districts, Amathus to the east and Kourion to the west. As the island’s main port is located here Limassol has become a magnet for international companies.

Shopping in Limassol
In the centre of Limassol you will find everything you expect from a big city. The old town is not far away and you can slip into a small alley where you can enjoy the quiet village life-feeling. On the main street, Anexartisias street you will find all the designer shops, and for those with a black belt in shopping and thick wallet – this is a paradise.

Take a walk around the street of Agiou Andreou, here you will find many fun little shops and of course cafés and restaurants. However, the prices are a little high here because this is a popular tourist route. On the other hand, this street is a perfect option if your company prefer to park themselves with a cold beer while the others check out the shops.

Carnivals, festivals and luxury hotels in Limassol
The Limassolians are known for there happy mood and the nightlife in the town is great. In the spring you can enjoy the carnival and in the fall you can get crazy happy in Limassol Wine Festival, as the town is the centre of wine making on the island. At the wine festival there is free wine for everyone.
Limassol has also become something of a centre for various alternative treatments and SPA’s. Several of the five star hotel offers luxurious SPA services, and many tourists come here just to pamper themselves for a week or two.

Most of the hotels in Limassol are located along the 15 km long coastline on the way towards the centre. In addition to gorgeous beaches you will find lots of shops, restaurants, pubs and nightclubs here. There are plenty of local buses in town but a car is preferable if you want to see more than the beach and the shops.

The most interesting sights in Limassol are a bit outside the city centre. From Limassol, it is also very close to the Troodos Mountains with its picturesque vineyards and mountain villages.
